The Awakening the Dreamer: Changing the Dream is a 3 hour, transformative program by Pachamama Alliance. There will be videos, guided group interactions, self-reflection, and sharing. This event is a Pachamama Alliance workshop that allows you to gain powerful insights that generate hope, inspiration, and a commitment to individual and collective action to make the world a better place.

In the program you will explore 4 main questions:

1. Where are we? You will start with an examination of the ways in which the current "dream" of the modern world is impacting the environment, our relationship with one another, and our own sense of purpose.

2. How did we get here? You will explore how this all came to be and confront the powerful unexamined assumptions that are at the heart of the current crisis we are in—as a species and as a planet.

3. What is possible now? You will come to see that a new sustainable future is possible, and learn about the huge, unstoppable movement that is already in action, committed to creating a new story for humanity.

4. Where do we go from here? You’ll look at actions you can take, on your own and with others, and new ways of being that are consistent with your vision and stand.

The Awakening the Dreamer event is coordinated and sponsored by the Pepperell Climate Change Committee. The event is facilitated by trainers from the Pachamama Alliance, a global community that offers people the chance to learn, connect, engage, travel and cherish life for the purpose of creating a sustainable future that works for all.

It will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., in the Vestry of the First Parish Church of Groton.

Parking is available on the street and behind the building. The Vestry is handicap accessible. 

Materials and snacks* will be provided, the event is free, but there is a suggested donation of $20.00.

*NOTE: The church and Vestry is a nut-free zone.
